Peyote stitch always comes out on top of lists of beader's favorite stitches. It has a satisfying rhythm to it and creates a beautiful fabric. In this bracelet, we'll kick up your peyote skills a notch to include using different size seed beads for some texture and pattern, and get a chance to practice the odd-count turn - necessary for any pattern with a centered element.
The pattern and kits are available at: shop.jillwisemandesigns.com/se...

OMG not only is this a stunning bracelet, but you just demystified odd count peyote. I have avoided it for years and you just opened a whole new world for me. Huge thanks!!!

oh lovely!!!!! you always explain and show what you are doing so clearly. now I know what I have been doing wrong on flat uneven peyote titch. my piece always ended up looking higher on one side than the other and so I gave up. now im going to try it the way you have explained. wish me luck! I had some bad instruction also and that's why mine didn't turn out im sure. thank you Jill!

I have a helpful little tip for checking off the shorthand sheet... You could either make multiple copies so as not to damage the original or you could do what I do... purchase some 'clear sheet protector covers' from the office supply and a small tip dry erase marker now you can mark you shorthand sheet without permanently marking on the sheet. Or you can have the office supply place to laminate the sheet.

Thank you Jill. It is very challenging but therapeutic. What I mean is not get bored easy as the changing of patterns. Yes, made mistakes and had to re do it, but enjoying it so much. I have not finished it but already looks pretty (so Moorish☺️) in red gold metallic dark green. ❤️

Hi Jill, I am trying to make this bracelet that I LOVE, however my size 6 beads won't lay right. What kind of beads are you using for your size 6 and size 8? Toho, Miyuki or Czech? Can't get that diamond to lay like it should, do you have any more tips? Thanks, I love this bracelet!!!!!!

What an ingenious design - I've bought the pattern and can't wait to try it. Do you think it would work to use a 4mm Czech round bead instead of a 6.0?

Why wouldn’t you demonstrate the center instead of basic odd count peyote. Would’ve been useful because the unique thing about this bracelet is the center protrusions.

Jill, I'm still learning about seed beads, but you just confused me. Delicas are also seed beads, but you say delicas, then you add the clear and just call it a seed bead. What brand or size is it?
@JillWisemanDesigns
@JillWisemanDesigns 9 жыл бұрын
Lorraine Brooks A Delica is actually what's called a cylinder bead - named for it's cylindrical shape. A seed bead is a rounded bead. I have a video on this topic here with more information: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rpeGlsaW26eVoWw.html
@lorrainebrooks6934
@lorrainebrooks6934 9 жыл бұрын
Jill Wiseman I know the shape diff, but everywhere I shop they list Delica in the seed beads, lol. I saw one video where the gal called her seed beads crappy beads, there should be universal names for all seed bead types, would make it less confusing. Love the bracelet, gonna have to try it for sure. And thanks for the extra vid to learn from about seed beads.
