Alright, I have thought long and hard about why he has no solo and why he looks upset. He looks upset probably because he's not officially part of their band, also because he didn't get a solo. He didn't get a solo because, though he can sing amazingly, he can't sing sweetly like the rest of them. He sings best in his character's voices and not in his natural voice.
