On a shoestring budget, this husband-and-wife team compete against the Man in a corporate sponsored world, and they hold their JT Gladiator Mojave together with the same love and tenacity that has bound their marriage together for 32 years.
This interview gave us a surprising look into what it’s like to endure and survive the insane desert racing world from Baja Mexico to the Mint 400 near Vegas.

Awesome video! Great love story. In late November 2022, I was in Moab, and I was experiencing a shifting back and forth sort of clunk in my 2021 JLUR Diesel. I was really bummed because I was thinking it was a ball joint or something, and I had to drive back to San Diego. Being that it is Utah, nothing is open on Sunday! I was worried. The crazy part is, the first shop that I came across Was Jim’s shop. High Desert 4 Wheel Drive. I immediately liked that most everything I could see was set in place for his wife Barb which had cancer, and his love her. Awesome! So,I scooted down the road, and Jim and his associate, sorry for not getting your name. They immediately diagnosed my problem, fixed it for free in about five minutes total, and told me about how he hated sector shaft braces! Then and let me know that he was one of the first people to test the JLU. Also, how much he loved the shocks I have, The Falcon 3.5 a-Adapt shocks. Love them! I would recommend visiting him if you are in Moab. Also, just before this, I had went to Northridge 4 x 4 in Moab, where A.J. and his crew works. Super cool shop, and very professional crew, and TeraFlex in West Jordan.

Love Teraflex ! Put the st3 lift on my Jeep with the 3.1 shocks and added pre runner bump stops welded to the rear with the quick 3.3 adjusters, rear track bar, and the IR bushings now going 50-60 mph through the desert washes. Makes my 2 door feel like a buggy was beyond impressed 😅. Just ordered yeti extreme top mount steering since I blew out my stock tie rod and drag link in 2 trips😅😂😂😂
