The anxiety of having to get up early and scrape the snow and ice off my car, shovel the driveway and then driving to work in that mess kept me up all night. @@beliedat2457 And at one point it was a tropical forest and at another it was a glacier, both before man ever existed there. What's your point?
@dabeagleigl
@dabeagleigl Жыл бұрын
@@dawnpalacios8312 i know all about the lake effect snow, the result of cyclonic air patterns which include hurricanes, tropical storms, tornadoes, thunderstorms and in fact all precipitation events: the lake being in this case being upwind of the coast wrt the storm., allowing the storm to bring in moist air from over the lake. Nor’easter, eh? Counter clockwise air flow the result of coriolus and low atmospheric pressure. Happens throughout the great lakes, and is related to the fact thst the Wasatch in Utah get such big snows. Altjough in that case the circulation patterns are more effected (yes that is the word i meant to use), by the westerly flow of air picking up moist air from the great salt lake, and generating orographic precipitation, and some of the heaviest snowfalls in the world. Another set of tacts that you global warming hysterics forget is that the great lakes as well as the great salt lake are all the result of the last glaciation. There is no way to assert with any credibility that the current interglacial is the result of anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions: 15K years BP Buffalo NY was under a mile of ise, and Long Island was the terminal morraine. No human activity caused this retreat, and it is not over. It is merely wishful thinking on my part that New York would be buried under another mile of ice as soon as possible
