Enlightenment... it’s interesting. Can’t expect the average Joe of society to understand the perspective he has. He chooses not to break down his thought process to others and part of that is he can afford not to. I think the other part is he might see it as wasted effort since most people won’t try to understand what he means by “he doesn’t exist”
@kvikmynd5 жыл бұрын
@The1Americanpride1 I don't blame people for thinking he is insane, of course they would because the things he says are quite vague, but hear me out. I think what Jim is trying to convey with, "I don't exist", is the realization that who we think we are as individuals only exists because we have developed traits as we grow older which then shapes us into the person we "think" we are. If you look around, everybody acts a certain way almost as if it's a character that they are trying to keep up with. This "role" that we all play is either in hopes of following the herd, wanting someone / a group of buddies to like us or to feel like we fit in, to hide who we really are / who we wish we could be, among many other reasons . Jim has said in interviews (where he is less vague, unravels more of what he means) that he doesn't want to be apart of that facade and perhaps this may be the reason for some of his depression these past few years. Coming to a certain realization that completely contradicts the social constructs that you are used to being apart of and witnessing can definitely cause mixed emotions and very heavy feelings of "not knowing who you are" in this world full of pretenders.
