Jim Clark's Porsche 356 was found in a barn | Goodwood Revival 2021

Жыл бұрынThis Porsche 356 was the first car that Jim Clark ever won a race in. After his victory in the Border Motor Racing Club meeting in October 1957, he continued to race the car over multiple months, clinching more and more victories and showcasing his incredible talent.
After that it was lost for many decades, before being found in a barn and restored to life. After it was brought back to life by Tom Pead, it's first race was here at Goodwood and it has continued to race at the Motor Circuit ever since. At the 2021 Goodwood Revival it raced in the Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy, aiming to be the fastest 356 on the grid.

My grandad knew Jim Clark and worked on some of his personal cars as we stayed in a village called Ayton not far from Chirnside and Duns where Jim is from

In the early 80s I and others drove mk1 lotus Cortina s around Goodwood circuit. Still own mine. Rog.wasnt aware Jim owned a porsche.beautiful looking car and pleased I still have my 944.rog
