Cornette actually believes that. @KayFabe87
@KayFabe87 3 жыл бұрын
He had one in the 90's. Smoky Mountain Wrestling. It takes boatloads of money and TV distribution just to break even. In today's environment where there is no revenue stream from ticket sales from a live audience, it would be financial suicide unless you have the financial runway to weather the storm until we get back to a semblance of normalcy. Cornette is doing much better financially now, essentially working from home than he did running SMW. Additionally; he doesn't have the ridiculous hours and constant stress of keeping a wrestling promotion afloat on a shoestring budget.

My grandmother who was a crazy polock, example her brother, my great uncle (Frank Roscus) was executed in the electric chair in the late 50's early 60's here in NJ. She had a big heart, but was bat shit crazy. She started a riot at a wrestling show in Newark NJ in the 50's? Not exactly sure of the year. A match went the distance and she got up and was screaming according to her watch there was another minute and she threw her chair and the place went out of control. These riots were no joke. People back then took wrestling as REAL. She even had the article framed from the star ledger newspaper hanging on the wall from the riot, it was front page the next day. She told me when I asked about the article framed on the wall, I did that with a big smile, seriously i mean her face lit up she was so proud and then proceeded to tell me the story.

That right there scared me b/c of how crazy Savage got. He was like a wild animal. Right there, I just thought anyone who would willingly get into a ring like that, who isn't part of the show, is just crazy.

The last couple months I've noticed alot of "first" and generic comments. Jim is bringing in casuals, recently. That's good. I've seen maybe a few "first" comments on all of his videos and the last two months there has been dozens. Keep bringing em in.... If the people who are wondering what I mean.... There are channels that have a steady fan base. Nothing to do with wrestling. Say Screen Rant and Ryan George where everyone will either comment his catch phrases and puns. Or Music channels. Or go on AEW BTE or Dynamite or WWE videos or whatever. There's always inside jokes and puns and such. When you start getting a bunch of "first" messages. You know you are bringing in new people. Because they don't know the lingo or terms to make a quick first comment, only "first". It's fascinating really. I noticed this has been happening on the Corney channel since AEW n Impact started their thing... Edit: there's now four on this video Look at all of Corneys videos for the past couple years. You will find a total dozen "firsts" messages on 100 videos ... He is breaking the mainstream. To check what I'm speaking of, go to all old videos. Go down to the most downvoted comments... There's barely a "first" to be found aside one or two. But now the past two months each video gets several. Lol.

Buddy was a fighter. I traveled with him many of times during the NWA/WCW and Independent days, Buddy absolutely destroyed 3 marks on separate occasions.

Lmao now come the KZfaq ads about how you can view without ads with premium. I knew this was coming as soon as they started cranking up the ad length and frequency. Asshats

The trick is 2 slide the bar all the way to the end, then hit the replay button and then no more adds on the vid

It amazes me people were that dumb to literally want to kill the heels.

Cornette is really starting to stretch his views. Some guy asking "if baby face ever helped heels in real fights" doesn't mean that no one don't understand that it was viewed as being more legitimate in the old days, it doesn't mean it's a foreign concept and no one can believe it. It's a simple question that a guy was curious about. Jim there's no need in stretching a question from someone and turn it into, "well it's a foreign concept to people these days who can't believe wrestling was real in those days". He's starting to try to make every question into something more. I mean even I was curious as to back in the 60's and 70's if the fans stormed the ring to attack the heel, what would the baby face do in that situation..... That doesn't mean that I don't know wrestling in those days was viewed as being real. I mean ffs.

I stopped taking Corny seriously round same time he denounced gun ownership after bragging about threatening to shoot Brock Lesnar...or hearing he carried a gun cause was a “heel”..I sent a question asking him about this to the Drive thru but I guess Brian didn’t see it..am I the “heel” now?
