It's notable, that The Elite had a golden opportunity to do reality based angle with CM Punk.. it would have been massive in terms of attention, and it could have been an opportunity for them to really work on the story and character work in wrestling, and promos, if they had the balls to go there. If they were successful, they could have reinvented themselves, and gotten a higher profile because, again, fans would have tuned in. That ship has sailed, and they are always going to be niche because they won't learn and grow

Imagine giving up CM Punk for Jungle Boy Perry and The Young Bucks. Any owner that would make a decision like that should be out of business.

Jay White was the biggest free agent earlier in the year, they have done nothing with him. They have done an even worse job booking their main event scene than WWE has. While the marks are celebrating them signing Will Ospreay, which I'll admit is a big get for AEW, I have absolutely no faith in how they will use him, as they have dropped the ball on 90% of the big names they have acquired.

it's fun to listen to how ecstatic Corny sounds because of this development. It's almost funny how CM Punk RAW's promo was close to Jim said it should be like, with CM Punk saying "this is me", and "I am home" while purposely sounding disingenuous.
