I grew up in NYC as a Bob Backlund WWWF fan. I abandoned the WWF for the NWA & AWA & World Class & the UWF as soon as we got them (at various times) in New York. I knew immediately that the NWA was superior to the WWF cartoon show. Never once thought it was "too southern".

I knew once Jim Ross went to AEW it would only be a matter of time before he was cross-dressing.

A wrestler can always say no but you gotta accept the consequences of that. It's best to use that No sparingly so it's effective.
