I actually enjoy the way they have it laid out. The diehards get something extra everybody else gets their hot dog and beer and then hits the merch table. You get everybody sorted right for when the show goes on the air. Much more preferable then trying to spin Dark out as a house show model or w/e IMO.

@@targetthyself Been at a couple of show, Dark gives you extra time to grab some merch, it's usually all sold out by halfway of the show.

You can't put anyone on KZfaq or TV if they're not ready. You don't learn on the job in pro-wrestling like you do other careers. It's one thing to learn how to make widgets at a factory by actually making the widgets. It's another thing to flop and look bad in front of millions on TV or the internet. That doesn't do anything for your career or for the public image of the company. Like them or not, WWE knows this (now) and drills all of that into talent in the PC before they go to NXT. AEW literally plucked people out of dive bars and put them in front of a national audience. AEW needs something like the PC to screen talent coming in to decide who has it; who might have it; and who will never have it.

The KZfaq shows do nothing except help Maffew make Botchamania. If they are insisting on doing KZfaq Shows, then imo it should be their developmental programme's equivalent of PPVs and only happen once every quarter etc.

@@Harry-sc1xk They do need dark matches at tv tapings, which serves as Elevation(which means more TV talent and more experienced jobbers), but AEW Dark is pretty much modern day syndication for talent they don’t need on TV and serve as a quick run at Universal

@@al5306 you can only get used to wrestling in front of crowds by wrestling in front of crowds, and you only get better with repetition Junior talent get into AEW by 1-Training at a good wrestling school or with a good trainer(There’s like 5 that AEW get a good look at, like Create-A-Pro, MissionPro, and The Nightmare Factory) 2-Working the indies and getting time in front of crowds while training at a wrestling school 3-Working dates at national events and in minor spots with the major promotions and getting scouted by someone at AEW 4-Lastly, working AEW Dark shows and showing yourself as a good talent

It’s boring. Instead of talent versus talent. It’s almost always talent versus enhancement talent. There are no stories or psychology. Just five minutes of people doing moves

It’s showcasing for up and comers in squash matches while pushing promotions. It’s meat and guts at that level. I also like watching the student matches from the Nightmare Family.

@@insertcolorherehawk3761 He could, but part of "paying your dues" as a wrestler is putting in the car miles on the road. Driving from state to state would be impractical and wouldn't leave much time to train. The Florida OMS's would allow them to wrestle on the weekend and train during the week.

@@resop3 The issue is that the Florida OMS's ignore that most of the good schools aren't based in Florida, nor can all of the prospective talent move to Florida, having 3-4 regional partners does the same thing, unless they are under full contract, in which case, they can do the full national circuit(like Garcia)
