I looked up the death of Bobby and his wife Donna after reading this comment. It's so sad, he had been with her for almost 40 years and when she died in 2021 he was gone about 6 weeks later. Can't imagine how he felt after he lost her. Truly one one of the good guys in a business filled with not so good guys.

I've often said this before,my only regret moving from Houston to Calif. in '83 with my family was that i missed out on the next hottest thing next to JYD in the Midnight/Rock n'Roll fued.My cousin was sending me tapes of these boys doing some of the sweetest stuff i had ever seen, and with Cornys' type of heat i would experience later on WTBS,that would have put tops on my best live moments at that Coliseum or anywhere then and since short of Andre.R.I.P. Bobby and rest easy, soldier.

Dennis Condrey wasn't "fixed in the Tennessee territories". Before 1984, he had also worked in Georgia, Mid-Atlantic, and for Fuller's Southeastern which went beyond Tennessee. He also did a tour in eastern canada. What allowed him to work in Tennessee for so long was that, in that era, there were three different promotions in kind of the same area that he could move between. Moving between the three and changing up his tag-team partners ever couple years kept him reasonably fresh for about nine years.

The M.E. and Mr Cornette played the perfect heel in Mid South. When they first appeared, the duo faced two tomato cans (Mike Jackson and I forget?). The teamwork and technical aspect of their chemistry was something nobody has ever seen before. Dropped elbow off the top rope was the M.E. finishing move. Who has ever done that before those guys? Nobody. The Road Warriors actually copied them, except they were much bigger. The M.E. and Mr Cornette never got the recognition they deserved. Should be in the HOF.
