@@theecharmingbilly your comment is durr durr stuff (and it's, "nonsense", not "non sense" - I see you're another holier-than-thou, "good English" speaker). Looking at it objectively (you should try that sometime if you have the guts!), AEW at least has a reasonable creative department who allows a bit of leeway for the wrestlers, which is what the fans are after. WWE is 100% scripted. You do exactly as Senile Vince tells you, or you GTFO. They grew up with the Russo wink-wink type of shit. Omega and the Bucks probably grew up with that type of shit and saw it as something to emulate and expand. In a way it's still Corny vs Russo. However....one thing that Jim often overlooks (probably because he was nice to him) is...who gave Russo his first break in the business? Who enabled him? Who gave Dunn and Laurinaitis those positions? Who pushed Jim Crockett (who owned the one promotion Jim was actually happy working for, his words) into a position in which he had to sell his promotion? The indy garbage stuff that he hates so much is a result of Vince McMahon's actions throughout the years. Vince is the nemesis Jim doesn't want to admit he has...Russo (a pawn) is an easier target.

@D S I’m sorry but a guy who wrestled a blowup doll, a 9 year old girl, participated in a “sissy slap fight” (his words not mine) AND most recently introduced us to Michael Nakazawa gets no sympathy from me. If anything Cornette is going easy on him

Respecting and remaining civil with people you disagree with is such a rare quality nowadays, in wrestling and in life. It's sad too because personally, nearly all of my friends hold different philosophies in life and politics but they're still my favorite individuals. And maybe it's just me, but I've seen a lot more violent AEW fans than WWE fans.

My day automatically becomes that much brighter when I hear the Stephen P. New theme. Of course the AEW faithful went nuts over FTR complimenting Jim. They must feel conflicted cheering for FTR (when they actually appear). Speaking of appearances, two weeks and counting of no Wardlow on Dynamite since they booked him against Pockets.

Dax and Cash could be the locker room leaders that AEW needs. Telling the young guys to listen to the older guy’s advice since they worked 10x as much as them and know what is safe and what isn’t.
@clawy99

It depends on what you mean by older guys. A good portion of the aew rooster is 40+ years. Most of them made more money in wrestling then the 80s,90s guys did. If you are succesful at what you do, keep on doing it, if you are not, take all the advice you can.

FTR has the mentality of old school but has modernized what they can do as well. I think the key to FTR has been their willingness to listen and learn. A lot of the younger talent tend to get offended when something bad is said, even if the criticism is justified. I just believe that's more of a flaw in the general education system with the PTAs forcing teachers to make their kids, no matter how terrible they are, feel special. Add social media where everyone can be a star to no one in particular and you've got a bunch of people who feel that they can do no wrong. Well in that situation it makes it impossible to teach those people. And in the case of guys like the Bucks and Omega, so it seems, that mentality might go further into manipulation, which is even far more dangerous once they get the "cool kids" to side with them.
