I’m part of the “it’s a work brigade.” I don’t think Tony Khan is a genius, and I always knew the CM a punk backstage fights were real. I also knew that M.J.F’s “fire me” was all work and the whole “maybe he won’t resign” was all a story. Tony Khan loves kayfabe and he has used the wrestling media before to try to sell an angle (noticed how jungle boy mentioned how angry he was with AEW shortly before coming back), and it’s funny how Kenny is saying a lot of Jim Cornette talking points, right before he began his feud with the young bucks. So yeah, I definitely think it’s a work.
