I just realize that Greek in Australian is equivalent of Italian in America.

No not really. We are still connected go out culture language and most of us have been to Greece. Americans with Italian descent are so differnet to people from Italy and hardly any speak Italian.

yes it does but english speakers wont understand it, Happy easter is a better translation. an Example would be. En na se spaso sto ksilo. Im gonna break you to the wood, would be a bad translation, a better one would be, im going to kick your ass.

@@mystery8guy What you wrote there is cypriot which is a dialect of the greek language but yes you are right. Imagine if the translate said "THE CHRIST HAS RISEN" xD

I have always wondered why there are so few greek comedians out there, from Greece. I mean there is so much you can make fun out of it starting from TV where there is a reporter reporting some incident in Such a rush as if he is chased by the police or moderators talking bullshit the whole morning like in a Zoom conference. So many topics. Start from arrogant Athenians teavelling to the north, which they consider hostile barbaric and in General bulgarian, or some old shool greek conversation in a village, there is so much.

Why did Greeks immigrate to Australia of all places?

1. Better opportunities than other nations and less population. 2. Australia had an assisted migration scheme (Free to go there by ship) 3. It had almost no manufacturing workers and brought people from certain European countries to fill this void in 1950's-60's and to to be a labour force. They came from Italy, Greece, Malta, Netherlands, Yugoslavia, Germany and Spain.
