⁠⁠@@martyn4422worked for military charities and moral boosting shows for the Forces over seas such as the Falklands & NI. If you knew this you wouldn’t have said anything unless of course you believe we don’t need an armed force (membership of which is still voluntary ).

@@fastyaveit I'm Irish and I love his humour. Everybody is so serious about who they are. Lighten up. He took shots at us, and fact he took the piss at so many people I'd be annoyed that he didn't take the piss out of us. It's a joke. Banter, and as long as it can be taken in return with good honour where is the problem? And as for recognising his humour late, me too. A child of the 90s..and big break. Which was TV gold.

What Jim said about the BBC was enough for me to cancel the licence fee! They are supposed to be even handed and impartial! As for all these venues that cancel artists once the dates have been booked and tickets sold should be sued for all that lost revenue, & it should be the individual who took the actual decision that should be sued personally!

As an ex-serviceman, I thank Jim Davidson and multiple other showbiz stars for their support. I remember well the live shows we saw in El Adem (Libya) and elsewhere. Thank you all, and lets cancel the BBC!

Both Davidson & Rising Damp existed around the same time & made humour from similar subjects. But you do notice how in Rising Damp the butt of the jokes is Rigsby, the racist, where as with Davidson, it was all one way traffic. Anyway Joker I’ve been waiting to run into you again. I’ve got a TV show to recommend to you. If you have Sky Atlantic try watching this American period drama based in the 70s called Quarry. It’s got absolutely nothing to with music but has everything to do with it at the same time, a man with your taste in music will love it! I

I've seen Jim three times, Live. He was very racist towards us Jocks, he give us a right bashing. He spoke of his dad (another Jock) taking a p1ss in the kitchen sink, and complaining that Jim's mum hadn't taken the plates out! He will always be a funny guy.

I find him distasteful, so maybe he has done things for armed forces and I am sure they appreciate that. He has however not done anything , apart from spew hatred against minorities.
