I cried when I heard he passed. I always wanted to go see him on The Opry. He was one of the greatest voices and what a wonderful person he seemed to be. Not too many TRUE TRADITIONAL COUNTRY SINGERS left.

I met Jim Ed during a visit backstage at the Opry about 20 years ago. He was very friendly and down to earth. His passing was indeed a huge loss for country music fans.

I can understand My parents are still with me and in good health But Every time I see a piece of Red Velvet Cake I’m reminded that my Granny has been gone 24 years and I will almost tear up every time Because she made one of the best ones I have ever eaten

What a wonderful voice he had, just perfect for a song like this. I emailed him many years ago, and was so pleased that he responded; a very gracious thing to do.

Country music changed, humans changed, everything changed , we live and witness a world empty of feelings, respect, simpaty where money and sex rules and time is never big enough for simple things. Rest in peace to all country singers, peoples from ole days and any positive emotions!

I watched a video showing another clip and realize the girl in the blue dress is not Gunilla because the actual Gunilla is sitting next to her but she sure looked like a young Gunilla . Maybe someone else could give us the accurate info. I love these old shows. I wonder if Bill Anderson is hosting any new shows with the older entertainers ?
