*Clean-dirty. His jokes still ride into "inappropriate", he just knows how to deliver his content "cleanly". He could just as easily do a show for a Sunday church group as he does for a big city Saturday night downtown venue.

@@Rationalreason777 Yeah, I know Dave, he is funny too. Well, let's say most comedians are funny on their own style. G. Carlin #2? Naa! He's a legend, no one even comes close to him (except for R. Pryor). Carlin was a hilarious philospher, in my humble opinion. Gaffigan reminds me of Bill Cosby, sort of a family comedian. Steven Wright, witty one-liners legend. From the contemporary, Michelle Wolf cracks me up big time. Bob Hope and G. Burns, are my all time favorites.

Gaffigan doesn't just tell jokes; he acts. He has all these rapid fire mini "plays" where he has to do fake dialogue coming out of the person he's sort of mocking. And he's *good* at it! Good actor.

I'm in the UK and have only recently got into Jim's comedy. I've trawled the internet for everything he's ever done. Laugh out loud stuff! Love the Guy! I don't particularly mind comedians using profanity, I mean I love Chris Rock and Dave Chapelle who swear a lot, but Jim never does. I really admire that! You can share all his material with young children.

I'm guessing mostly the evangelicals since its clean comedy and most repubs like the angry ones (maniscolo and burr as long as he's not making fun of them cuz repubs got some thin skin) but the far right religious would pretty much only have Jim. My favorite routine from Quality Time is the Grizzly bear routine, and my biggest laugh came from the Grizzly saying “that guy looks like Phillip Seymour Hoffman”. I still laugh out loud at that one. I’m eternally grateful to you Jim for doing something positive for us all. I tune in every day just to keep my sanity in this insane world. Jim Gaffigan is brilliant . . . . . has a fantastic flow to all his performances . . . . you own everything you say and this makes it personal, yet leaving me thinking . . . . . some of this must be made-up entirely or worked into the very experiences you have experienced and now sharing with us, the audience. I have become a fan of standup. Especially watching you, Jim. It's clean, no hidden agenda, no politics and comes across as being genuine, from the heart and very funny. Your family stories, the kids, the wife, just everything you have worked into your comedy is really fantastic. My two sons and I have enjoyed your comedy immensely.

He and Demetri Martin seem to have both pushed back against the "clean," label and intentionally add f-bombs to a few of their jokes. But I don't disagree with you, 99% of his jokes are clean.
