Summery: Jim finds out that Ariel is a mermaid and he doesn't know what to make of it. Confused and angered by the deep dark-secret she had been keeping, he breaks up with her and tries to move on with his life.
Ariel, back in Atlantica, decides to become fully human in order to win back Jim's heart. She pays a visit to Ursula and signs a contract, claiming that if Ariel doesn't win back Jim's heart, she will become Ursula's slave forever. Upon seeing her arrival to the surface, Jim tells her that they aren't meant to be together and that she needs to go back to Atlantica. The heartbroken mermaid then flees and accepts her upcoming fate. Though Jim claims he isn't in love with her anymore, visions of his future life and child with Ariel snaps him into reality and decides to go save her from Ursula.
