Jim Lee inspires me to use credit cards to make blood splatter! I can imagine Bob Ross, saying " we are going to add another happy tree, maybe nice fluffy clouds and some serene mountaintops " Jim Lee "we are going to create blood splatter, then a little bit of slice and dice action using credit cards, just a little happy blood trail, and maybe a bit of ripped muscles and tendons"

Great lesson from one of the masters. Dramatic poses are one of the most important parts of comic book telling. Can VZA make a video series of Jim Lee penciling a whole comic book from front cover to back cover? It will be interesting to add everything in the lessons from inking, captioning, coloring, etc. Nobody has ever created a lesson on the complete process of creating a comic book.

@tommybro5313
@tommybro5313 5 жыл бұрын
Depends. You know the most essential part of drawing is that you'll learn how to do construction and basic shapes to form that character as in as flesh as Jim Lee illustrated on the video. The videos here in youtube tutorials are too limited. Amateurs like me and you as beginner will think it's mind blocking that you need to put three dimensional on two dimensional surface but it'll get easier when you put it in a practice everyday and learn the construction. I suggest that you should read Andrew Loomis' *Drawing The Heads and Hands* as well he's other book called *Figure Drawing For All It's worth.* Heck you can buy most of his books since most of them are very useful.
