Jim Ross sits down with Chris Van Vliet in Jacksonville, FL before AEW's Fight For The Fallen. JR talks about how it's "ludicrous" that AEW could compete with WWE, he gives us the origin to the word slobberknocker, his favorite matches, details his new role as senior advisor for AEW, his thoughts on Chris Benoit going in the WWE Hall of Fame, who is speaking in his ear in AEW compared to WWE, why MJF reminds him of a young Paul Heyman and much more!

For me,it's Chris,Joe Rogan,Jocko Willink(a former Navy SEAL turned podcaster)Big Herc(a KZfaqr with a prison channel),Adam22(who hosts a Hip Hop podcast called No Jumper but the guy can basically talk to anyone),Sam Harris,Tim Ferris,Andy Stumpf(another Navy SEAL turned podcaster)and there are several others that come to mind, too. But I think Chris Van Vliet is a skilled interviewer and one of the best out there. Good conversation is really an art and a skill-a lot of people don't realize that.

My family came from Haiti in the late 80s they couldn't speak English and it was easy to enjoy wrestling without really understanding what they were saying. I started to take an interest at 7 and my family encouraged us all to watch. 21 years later I've gone to WWE shows and Wrestlemania and indy shows. My room is filled with Undertaker memorabilia and my crazy ass even got him tattooed on my arm lol and no matter people say about pro wrestling, some of the best moments in my life was some kind of experience with pro wrestling. Could not imagine my life without it. ❤

Was about to leave KZfaq and then the notification said it's CVV with JR and I'm like bah Gawd I have to watch it all. Great stuff. WWE didn't treat JR right at the end. He deserves nothing but respect. Kudos to you for this interview, Chris.

this one deserves all the views, all the reactions, all the news shout outs, simply cuz JR is a living legend, doing a free interview without restrictions of the company he's employed to, and ofc, it wouldn't be as great if the questions weren't good. i tip my non-existant hat to you, mr. CVV

JR has always been an inspiration to me cause if someone with an illness that doesn't allow him to speak very well and complete deny the ability to smile becomes the greatest commentator in history of pro wrestling means that everybody can accomplish something in life no matter how complicated their situation is; if hard work is implemented every day constantly everyone can achieve success in what they believe and transform their passion into work
