Jim Stafford was great, from his summer replacement TV series to his two or three hit singles. He's also a heck of a guitar player - I remember him playing Classical Gas on the guitar on the show, and up to that point I'd only heard it with full orchestra and I couldn't believe how he nailed it with just an acoustic guitar (of course by now a lot of people have done it). Last I heard, Jim Stafford settled in Florida after having his own theater in Branson MO for a number of years. I went through Branson on the way to Arkansas one summer but we didn't have time to stop. Wish now we had.

It is actually a parody of the song The Wildwood Flower, and it was performed by the Carter Family. Of course these lyrics are different.

People who didn't really use cannabis in the 70s often wildly exaggerated about the effects of it. You'll see a lot of people claiming that people go on wild "trips" and don't know where or who they are. Just social paranoia, and parents and teachers using scare tactics.

I tried it because people said it helps with pain. What a crock 😂😂. I have no mental health issues but weed certainly made me want to become a serial killer 😂😂
