Okay, as a guy who works in a grocery store - NO, we are not okay with customers bringing their dogs into the store. Seriously, if your dogs can't survive without you while you shop, someone should stay out in the car with them. Service dogs are another matter. We have to let them in, and they're extremely well behaved. Thing is, due to ADA we're not even allowed to ask if your dog is a service animal, even when it's very obviously not. If for no other reason, try to think of the people who are allergic to dogs and minimize their exposure as a common courtesy.
