Your face reaction said it all. This was the Islamic call to prayer. This call to prayer has its own qualities add to that his voice. The Devil runs away any time this call is made. That is the peace you feel in the room. You reacted to it %100 correct. We muslim feel the same way every time the call is made no matter how many times we listen to it.

Melissa, this was a call to prayer. This gets repeated 5 times a day over the loud speakers at every mosque in the Muslim world. Interesting thing is, for every prayer time, it is recited a little differently. This was one of the better ones. It is meant to touch your heart.
