and a very learned man from an economics institution has produced a report that says Britain did not get rich on slavery even if a few wealthy families did so. Even so that was centuries past. Secondly, the African slave trade was up and running before Europeans got in on the act and it was Africans enslaving Africans. Some even sent a delegation to the King to complain when the British eventually banned slavery.
