2 жыл бұрынThis episode is about our latest aircraft addition to our collection, an H-23 Hiller Raven helicopter. Our little Raven served with the Navy before being transferred to the Army and used as a trainer at nearby Fort Wolters, and it also was based at Eagle Mountain Army National Guard Base.

It has an opposed 6-cylinder engine, not an "in-line" 6-cylinder engine.

Early Hiller US Navy helicopters had 4 wheels not Army Uh12"B'" style skids like this ship.

Hi Kevin, I'm sure you are correct about configurations. The paperwork on ours shows it started with the Navy in Pensacola and was transferred to the Army for the majority of its career. I would think it was modified along the way.
