I especially love the emotional way he plays. The random pain in his eyes. He was invested 100%. Jimi would actually sleep with his guitar. They had a relationship. The guitar was an extension of him. I mean this in the most respectful way. They were one. Please try Purple Haze and Foxy Lady! Happy Listening!

In a separate reaction you did to Creedence Clearwater Revival's song Fortunate Son, you talked about your military service. First and foremost, I am glad you are still here with us and able to talk about that experience. You may already know this, but Jimi Hendrix served in the Army and was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division, where he was stationed in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Thank you for your service and dedication, Sir.

There are no artists the likes of him these days. Iconic , one of a kind, raw talent, brazen, bold as love, and of course left handed. And I think a very sweet voice. "Hey Joe" is an old blues song. But don't ask me how old cuz I don't know. My two faves are "Little Wing"and "Voodoo Chile". Both masterfully covered in so many ways by the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan, who was a great admirer of Jimi. SRV was gifted, I hear, with Jimi's wah pedal, by Jimi's father. I like to believe that Jimi was standing by Stevie as he used it. What a sight that would've been! Why do these incredible talents leave so soon? RIP you guys. Love you both forever. 💙☮️ to all

thank you for reacting to Jimi Hendrix. We hold Jimi very close to our hearts. Some, including myself feel that Jimi was the father of "Hard-Rock". Jimi had so much talent, he wasn't fully appreciated, was used and abused by the music industry and people around him and just couldn't come out of it. So his music helped with the pain of what he was going through. He could have done better had he been more learned of people, but his Talent was great, and his concert absolutely fantastic. They are all gone now in the band. Glad you enjoyed his music. Take care , stay safe, and God Bless.

Say-hay... one thing interesting thing that most people don’t realize. That audience is from the early 60’s generation.(like me) that we’re exposed to the “Beach Boys”, “Chubby Checker”, “Mammas and Papas”, and similar music. Look the way they dressed! Looks like they just walked out of Dick Clark’s “American Bandstand” show. Jimi was almost unknown to them and his talent was a shock to most of them. They applauded for his performance but still couldn’t grasp all that they were hearing. It didn’t take long for them to turn on, tune in, and appreciate his talent, and really get to embrace his spirit as he spoke to us through that Stratocaster. Love your input to your new rabbit hole.

Jimi Hendrix was sooo far ahead of his time and every guitarist in the world then and now have all learned from the GOAT of the guitar. Mr. James Marshall Hendrix. He makes playing the guitar look like it ain't no big thing. Maybe he was a guitar Savant? The first time he picked up a guitar he just knew what to do with it and through it. Nobody can teach you to play the way he did. He spoke to his guitar and through it too. And it spoke to him and through him as well. He and his guitar were one in the same.

The bass and drummer are two English musicians who together with Jimi were known as The Jimi Hendrix Experience. The concert was in England in the late 1960s hence most of the audience is rather reserved! BTW a bass player, Chad Chandler, who with the north of England band The Animals, "discovered" Jimi in the States; brought him to London, became Jimi's manager, found him a great bass man and drummer...and the rest is history as they say.

This was England.. in a time appreciation was shown in a different manner... The crowd are quiet and listened... and then clapped.... It was respectful.... You noticed the whole crowd are white !... Jimmy had to come to the UK to get the correct support and promotion and appreciation.... At the time this was not mainstream music.. and the people at these concerts were probably from the cool blues jazz scene... But yes what a loss ...
