Here I am, stuck at home, without any Tele, Strat, or even my LP Junior :( (since I leave most of my guitars to storage between my gigs)
I've been wanting to play some Jimi Hendrix for a while, so here's my try at The Wind Cries Mary!
Gear:
- Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus
- Bias FX plug-in (Get my tone on Tonecloud : "LP Hendrix")

Jimi is by far my favorite guitarist of all time and one of the best song writers ever in my opinion. But "hardest to do a cover on"? Nope, not at all. His music is actually fairly easy to play and this song in particular is very easy for any guitarist thats been playing for a year or more.

Every time I hear this, I get soulful and want to cry. Jimmy was a special guy that for the time slot he was in had a very special way of looking at the world. He was a lefty, however this translates into guitar playing. He did a stint with the hundred and first screaming eagles paratroop division. I think that this taste of seeing the world through travel, made him what he was. You ace his playing style with flying colors. Can't think of a better guitarist to handle his playing, than you. Thanks, very nice rendition.

One of my favorite Hendrix tunes. First heard it on the radio 54 years ago. Still brings a tear to my eye. Good job.

Beautiful playing, thank you. This is still one of my favorite Hendrix tunes, a quiet one for a change.

I just started playing a guitar 3 days ago and am just learning chords. Seeing peoples finger work fascinates me now and I hate seeing how far I have to go to do any of this lol. Sounded awesome!

@@ljubomirruseski Even after playing for more than 30 years I still have so much to learn but I like to think that I can produce worthwhile playing as well. I am pretty sure that someone like Eric Clapton would be rather lost if he had to perform flamenco but yet who can doubt his prowess within his own musical sphere ?

I wish Jimi played a Les or SG most of the time. Just love the sound.

That was sweet. That's a lovely tone you're getting from that neck pickup on your PP. Nicely done.
