Jimin did a full album breakdown video on Weverse live last month. Here’s the gist of what the album is about: FACE is inspired by the feelings and thoughts Jimin experienced during the pandemic. He says he was struggling then more so than he realised. The album charts these feelings chronologically. Starting with Face Off where he is angry and feels betrayed. Next is Dive: Interlude. It’s really just a track to set the tone from the previous song to the next but he does tie in the feelings of public self vs private self. On the outside he seemed very happy but when he would go off stage and go home he felt extreme loneliness. This track is followed by Like Crazy (Main Track). Jimin says there’s a period where he was drinking and out having fun a lot. He thought he was having a good time at the time but really he was trying to drown the negative feelings he was having. After the partying ends he would feel so alone. This is where the next track Alone ties in. He soon came to realise that he wasn’t happy and was masking a lot of dark feelings of loneliness and unhappiness. He talks about making the decision to confront theses feelings and Set Me Free is him coming out the other side of that as a new, healthier version of himself. Free from those thoughts and feelings. The inclusion of Like Crazy English Version at the end is because where else would you put it. 😅 He couldn’t exactly loop it straight after the Korean version. I do think it was clever how he used its position at the end to hide the hidden track ‘Letter’ on the CD version. Letter is a fan song for ARMY. Jimin does fan songs like this a lot for ARMY. He loves ARMY a lot (I don’t think ARMY grasps just how much) and he always likes to show them how grateful he is for them and how much he cares about their wellbeing.

♦Jimin mentioned that one of his fav movies “Like Crazy” inspired parts of the song aside from the title of song. In the beginning as well as ending to the song, he even samples excerpts from it. Jimin has also said that many of the songs on the album convey what he was going through, his thoughts, his feelings, his emotions as well as despair & depression, during the pandemic in the last few yrs. He also was hoping that maybe it could help others by way of relating & going through similar difficulties during pandemic. So this song Like Crazy, could also be during that time, thinking back while laying his head down, on table in that depressing small room, dreaming of the better times in the past, when he was free to enjoy himself, as well as being with someone or with friends, or even around ppl in general, being able to be free to go out & party. Which is why he even said in the lyrics please don’t wake me up from this dream. I want to stay here.. Maybe that was what all the dirty grimyness also represented, despair of situation, how he felt or how things were at that time, even when it seemed to even ooze into his dream state.

❣️The Letter, hidden track, you need to react to, that can only be found on Jimin’s “FACE” physical album. “The Letter”, which there are English lyric vids for. It’s an amazing, ever so beautiful, so heartfelt song dedicated to Army, who he says really helped him, especially during the pandemic, as he mentioned, when he felt in despair, emotional, distraught, reflecting on himself, going through a depression, but throughout he really felt the love support, faith & belief in him, which now that he’s found himself and is uplifted, wants to do the same for army. So beautiful how BTS hidden tracks, like “Sea” and now Jimin’s “The Letter”, are mainly written just for army. Jimin not only is the one playing guitar, but JK in the last couple of verses can be hear harmonizing with Jimin in the background. Also on the Cd, it amazingly starts at exactly 6:13 minutes which is when BTS debuted, (June 13 2013). It’s like a more personal private message by way of song, meant mainly for army. I mean only army would get the word out about this so heartwarming, so beautiful song. Though anyone who actually listens to the physical Ep will get the wondrous, ever delightful surprise when discovering this song as well. Here lately all them have been doing songs either title doesn't fit song or song doesn't fit the title. Could be missing as a group jhope like one song so far jimni haven't clicked yet something is off the story or meaning in the songs is all over same with RM if they are going solo you got to find it veiws are high but not staying. They got plenty of time to work on it hope people are being truthful and respectful giving feed back don't do falsehoods a lot of people have made the same comment as me but instead of saying what's missing and we will support anything you do they need to hear the down side not hateful or just being evil as a person and the comments saying it's great but can't wait until all together again not helping. It's hard to go from a group to single artists just asl the ones that have come before them.
