At 57 years old, I’m not too old to be a BTS fan, but I’m apparently too old for these guys’ reaction. Laughing and borderline mocking the entire time and then “it was good” at the end sounded an awful lot like fishing for subs. Maybe you’ll prove me wrong, though. 🤷🏻‍♀️

the bubble gum kpop doesnt apply to bts they have maybe 5 bubblegum pop tracks in their entire discography. you guys should react to more bts/the members solo music. also the autotune was on purpose. bts isnt typical kpop. they do ALL genres and they write their own lyrics. their music is deeper than most "pop" music. theyre more like a collective than a kpop group or boyband.

The song talks about how he's setting himself free from a lot of past struggles and negative thoughts. Jimin was very hard on himself. He didn't come from a singing background, he started as a dancer, a contemporary dance student. So he put this very high standard to catch up with the other members. He criticized himself the most and members talked about how he used to always stay in the practice room almost 24/7, working harder than anyone else ever. He struggled with his body image too back then. He is a very affectionate person but back then he struggled with toxic masculinity, wanted to appear tough and everything. So this is him setting himself free. The end of the video where he appears with white outfit, is the Jimin now who has been reborn. The fake tattoo is a German poem, talking about similar topic as the one he wants to convey through the song. The song is called Set Me Free Pt. 2 because the other member, Suga has a song called Set Me Free in his mixtape as AgustD. Since the theme is similar, Jimin named it Set Me Free Pt.2

Kpop is not all bubbly omggg lol. It's an industry, with a wide variety of genres within it. I'm Korean and even as a high schooler I only listened to the badass groups. Never liked the "bubble" groups. BTS is so above even the entire industry. They're just crazy talented and hardworking artists who live and breathe music. 3 of the members live and breathe hip hop...like REAL hip hop, not that pop hip hop. They deserve all the respect, accolades and success they've earned, and yet they don't even claim that it's all theirs...and they never credit themselves first...they credit their fans. Def worth checking them out more...they have a wide discography. You guys are missing out on incredible music and amazing, humble, brilliant human beings. You two could learn a thing or two from them.

This was a very unexpected but welcome surprise. I first started following you guys on ig from the podcast shorts haha. Never in a million years did I expect you guys to do anything BTS related. I think the spiral choreography and the lyrics goes well. He was singing about standing on the edge and not looking back which basically has to do with growth(as a person/artist) and the spiral basically looks like the Fibonacci sequence which represents growth in nature as well. I say with his background in dance, the whole mv was well put together.

Guys...I'm trying to understand, because this is the first time for you both... I just want to remind a few things : 1. Dont just look from the "K-Pop rumors" bout what K-Pop is 2. BTS are group of musicians with various genres in them.. they have genres like hiphop, EDM, POP, Balad, Latin RnB..you name it, they have it...and THEY ARE MOSTLY PRODUCED THEY OWN MUSIC. 3. BTS is a group that mostly has deep meaning on they lyrics in every song... but don't ever confuse it with western customs or slang! they will be different.. because once again the Meaning of language between east and west must be different. 4. Try to RESPECT.. if you're not a cup of tea, it's very fine but never mock someone's work (this applies not only to BTS), especially if you don't know anything..so try to learn it. 5. Last but not least, Don't ever think or expect BTS or any of Solo member of BTS projects will be like the K-Pop in your imagination.. They are above of all that..
