What Happened When Stephen Curry Played "The Next Curry"

There will never be anyone like Curry. He is so unique. He really is a once in a lifetime player. I've never seen a player demoralize a team and their fans the way curry does. Players like Jordan, LeBron and kobe, yes they will kill you and frustrate the hell out of you but when curry goes off you can see the faces and body language of the other team and fans. It's utter shock and disbelief. I always say a steph 40 piece hit different than anyone else's 40 piece lol

Look at his play style and you’ll see why. His play style ages well due to a high reliance on shooting and layups versus more athletic play styles for obvious reasons that he isn’t as reliant on physical gifts.

Pretty fun when OU has a great player. Would love to see a video comparing Jokic to Bird. Or Jokic compared to a healthy Bill Walton in the year the Trailblazers won it all. Obviously Walton didn’t have the range, but low post moves and interior passing. Bill Walton to Maurice Lucas!! Or ‘86 Bird-Walton give and goes. Like the Beasties said “ I love the give and go”. No look passes the best. Right now Jokic the king! Thanks again for all your hard work.

I really wish I could say this to every trae young hater - every time the hawks vs sixers series is brought up, they say “trae beat a scared Ben Simmons” or “an imploding sixers team”. NOT TRUE. The sixers were supposed to make a finals run. Without embiid, the sixers destroyed a team with two all stars in the first round (the wizards) and people said “if embiid doesn’t play, sixers beat hawks in 6. If he does play, sixers in 4.” This team had THREE all defense team members, the MVP runner up, the DPOY runner, and one of the greatest coaches in nba history who everyone said that season “fixed Ben Simmons”. That sixers team did not implode until AFTER trae was through dominating them. Trae didn’t beat an imploding sixers team - he caused a number 1 seed to implode and retool completely.
@macscheese39947 ай бұрын
trae is ass
@Johnny-xj5qu4 ай бұрын
Nah, the Sixers imploded, and Ben Simmons died that series. The evidence is clear, since then, Trae has done nothing to carry his team, and Ben has been terrible ever since. Nice try, not falling for your false narrative. Btw, if you know the game, you know Doc is an extremely overrated coach who’s teams regularly implode in the playoffs
@2436dan4 ай бұрын
@@Johnny-xj5qu don’t “nice try” me. Narratives are all that have surrounded trae. What you are saying is what people were saying about trae LAST year, but this year people are realizing that it’s not his fault. The hawks have failed to build around trae after 2021. Trae is a playoff riser. The Heat series in 2022 was the Heat doing whatever it took to stop that very thing from happening. With Trae being the only threat, he was all they need to focus on. They didn’t mind giving up 35 to Deandre Hunter if if meant keeping Trae in check. Trae reminded us how dangerous he is against the heavily favored Celtics last year. Made it a series when it was supposed to be a cakewalk. So what if Ben Simmons hasn’t been the same? He was all nba and all defense before trae got to him. Not a coincidence. Whatever you haters’ problem is with trae is ridiculous. He is just trying to play and win.
@Johnny-xj5qu4 ай бұрын
@@2436dan you are a Trae fan and not a realist. He’s not a playoff riser. He shoots 40% FG and 29.7% from 3 in the playoffs. You can’t lead a team to victory with those putrid efficiency numbers. Trae is a stat padder. He’s had years now to prove he’s that guy. He’s not, he’s a nice player but clearly cannot be the #1 option on a winning team. He needs to be a #2 or maybe #3.
@2436dan4 ай бұрын
@@Johnny-xj5qu I don’t give a crap about efficiency. Nobody cared how inefficient Kobe was during his finals runs. You don’t have a right to claim that he’s not a 1 on a winning team when he already been that. Mind you he’s still 25 years old. He still has a lot to prove. If you’re just going to hate and not see that he performs in the playoffs (three playoff game winners at just 25 years old), then I have no reason to believe you are anything more than just a hater. I will always support Trae after, being a Kobe fan, hearing that Kobe’s daughter Gigi said that Trae was her favorite player just weeks before the helicopter crash.

Jimmer's career is absolutely a tragedy. He was too early for the new NBA, and was unfortunate to be on teams without systems that would allow him to develop. We just as easily could've been saying Jimmer rather than Fredette, but Curry was able to get to the right team at the right time. Funny enough, my game style was more sniper-ish but I got cut due to size as a freshman (very understandable). But if it were today, I would've been starting. Not a comparison, they're WAY better than me, but it just shows timing and luck make a world of difference. Curry anywhere besides Golden State would never have been able to become the legend he is today.

I will never forget the moment when my parents took me to the Jazz arena in 2011 for the draft announcements. We were all excited because we knew Jimmer would have a good connection with the state of Utah, & possibly help recover our then dying team with his shooting & scoring talent. Instead, we traded for 2 players that didn't even last us more than 8 years. Rodney Hood, a bust within a few years, & Rudy Gobert; an offensive handicap that after the first 2 Donovan Mitchell years, just flat plateaued in his skill set. My parents(my dad specifically) & I have never been that interested in the Jazz or the NBA from that point on. Jimmer was traded to the Kings, then the Kings organization fired their coach by Cousins' relentless requests/demands, the new coach started to bench Jimmer, then traded Jimmer, & were dirt trash for almost 10 years, even with Hield & Fox. They're better now that Fox has figured out his shot & decision making, & Buddy Hield is off the team for other players like Sabonis, but Jimmer got cheated out of possible opportunities because G.M's were scared of trading Cousins'.
