Seven-time NASCAR Series Cup champion Jimmie Johnson offers a tour of his warehouse, which is complete with the first car and dirt bike he ever raced, guitars he’s traded away from musicians and a bar setup originally built in 1890 that he moved from Philadelphia to Charlotte. Johnson also shows off his most recent NASCAR Cup and says he’s convinced that the spirit of the late Ricky Hendrick was riding alongside him during the final laps.

Love knowing that being one of the greatest of all time hasn’t gone to his head. Still such a fun person to watch and seems so inherently humble. Looking forward to seeing his antics in Indycar and beyond. Great interview!

Hi Gavin. I agree. JJ is so relaxed, has great stories, and certainly seems very humble. Not a guy to get caught up in himself. I hope it stays that way and expect it will. Some folk like Bill Russell and JJ win barrels of championships and they just keep on giving back. Very impressive.

The Martinsville grandfather clocks HAVE to be the ultimate trophy in all of sports. They're just so imposing, yet intricate and actually have utility outside of being a trophy. I would take that over a Lombardi or Stanley Cup any day.

@@bulkcrusha6299 "I won the NHL Finals and all I got was this lousy ring and CTE." Edit: I should add that I love the NHL (sans Bettman) and I think it's the most entertaining sport ever. I just think that for the damage the players take to their body in a season, they should be compensated AT MINIMUM with a solid gold, 1:1 scale statue of themselves. AND a trophy made of gold that their team can keep forever.

Well I guess that answers my question of what he does with those Martinsville Grandfather clocks. DW said one time he has given his to family and friends. He even gave one to Benny as he mentions it during the 1991 Hanes 500, "I always wanted one of those old clicks, Darrell gave me one".
