First time I heard this song I started to cry because it reminded me of my Pop-pop, after my dad left when I was 10 my pop stepped up and took his place. He took me hunting and fishing, he bought me my first legal drink on my 21st birthday. He was there for me in all my ups and downs I knew I could alway count on him he was always there for me. I miss you so much Pop like the song say I hope I’m making you proud until we meet again please save a cloud next to you and Nanny for me.

My mom told me to listen to this song. January 29th, my grandpa, the man who raised me passed away. He wasn't perfect by any means but he did everything he could to give me a good life and his biggest wish was that he would live long enough to see me get grown. He managed to hold out just long enough to see that. He was never good at showing love, but I know that if he never loved anybody else, he loved me with everything he had in him. I still miss you papa, but I hope that you finally found peace and I know we'll see each other again. 💜

Oh man, you don’t know how bad I needed this. My dad passed away last August unexpectedly and I’ve really been struggling with it. But those lyrics “If there’s a golden pond full of fish, I bet you already caught everything in it” that made me break down. I’ve always been a Jimmie Allen fan but now even more so. Thank you so much for this.

How can a person not to cry listening to this song. I lost my Dad to cancer years ago. It's still breaks my heart he's not here. Jimmie is a talented musician! His Dad is looking down on him so proud of who he's become.I have loved Jimmies music since before he was on "Dancing with the Stars". Truth, he should have won!! 😊❤️

I was today years old (Sept. 19, 2022) when I heard this. Stumbled across this song, and the tears rolled down my face real slow. My daddy was my Everything. He lost his battle with cancer in August of 2008. It's been 14 years, and I miss him more and more each year. Thank you Mr. Allen for this song. Sometimes I need to know that I'm not the only person missing their daddy...no matter how old you get.💛

Love this song my husband passed away from a heart attack a few months ago unexpectedly 49 years old we have 8 children 4 young still at home our 13 yr old son showed me this song and said mom this song fits dad perfectly it reminds me of dad soo much I didn't even get half way through the song and balled my eyes out. My wives mom died when she was 14, and how she makes a lot of money - but, prides herself on how much she gives away. She grew up VERY poor. I grew up poor to lower middle class because of my mom, and she died when I was 26, but at least she saw me go to college and get married. I have been married for over 35 years, but STILL wish she was here! Moms are EVERYTHING, and GREAT dads are KING of 'our' worlds!!!!
