This is my #1 Not to give my life story, but growing up, mum was a very angry high functioning alcohol and drug user. Dad wasn't around much, but when he did pick us up for a weekend camping, fishing or even just sitting at the car yard, he would blare Barnesy and it is the brightest nostalgia of my upbringing. Growing up in West Heidelberg, I didn't really have anyone that struck my heart to look up to. I based alot of my morales on working hard and how to treat women based upon the lyrics of your music. You are forever in my heart mate. I have alot to thank you for. God bless during not only these tough times, but the good times J.B.

I just read yr comment.. 1st of all im so sorry for yr upbringing.. But..so glad to hear that Barnsey not only gave you some life with his sooo screaming from the soul music i looove so much..but he was yr Role Model & the part of teaching you how to treat women..👍🏻wooow i wish all men would act on what they hear not just hear it.. He influenced you..im wishing you have the opportunity to meet him & give him the biggest hand shake 🤝... I wish i did before i left Australia where i was born & raised but moved to Europe in 93.. And untill KZfaq..could never hear him again..as i lent my cassets to someone & never got them back..well everythings here now & i just started playing him again this week after a while cos he was on stage with BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN Singing another Amazing Song Called "TOUGHER THAN THE REST"...Im sure you'll like it if u dnt already know it..? And lucky woman you have if u treat her as Barnsey n many other men sing about loving a woman then dont themselves..but Bruce & Barnsey lived their lyrics..💖 Anyway..i hope yr life is better now..take care Cya mate! 😉

Such an underrated song, it's a ripper. I also love this era of film clips - smash together a bunch of live footage, probably of other songs but cut away quickly so we can't tell :-) Also look at those little Tin Lids!

JB Legend 💯 Couldn’t listen to his music for years - too busy trying to forget the past. He’s been back on deck for a couple years now so I’ll take that as a sign of progress & making peace with the past 🙏🏼
