I grew up in the 50's & 60's. I grew up to the radio, record stores, concerts, & dreams of singing, myself. And so, i can honestly say, " Since I Don't Have You ", is one of the most perfect songs of all-time. It's a song I NEVER----------EVER--------tire, of hearing & singing along to. It's one that, while being a " hit", in that spring of '59, it was not a huge hit. In Denver, on then, 1630 AM, KOSI, it ranked at # 90 for the year. What did happen, was that, through the years, " Since " became THE most requested " oldies but goodie " ever. EVER. Also, when GEorge Lucas included it into a sweet & touching scene in his classic film " American Graffiti", the songs recognition just soared & soared ! Multiple remakes also go to prove the greatness and enduring love of a 50's Doo Wop Classic. RIP, Jimmy Beaumont, Janet Vogel, & all Skyliners, who have passed.--------------------------MJL< 77 y/o

I knew Jimmy and Buddy V from high school, and they blew the lid off in 1958. Am very proud that Jimmy lived such a good life and is remembered so fondly. God bless all of them.

Since I Don't Have You is without a doubt the greatest love song written. I have listened to the Skyliners since the 1950's. Still the best!!

"Since I Don't Have You" is still #1 in my heart! Pure talent and the music score arrangement is nothing less than superb (String arrangements) Retro Grammy material no doubt! Thank you Skyliners, THE VOICES!!

I have no question in my mind that since I don't have you is probably the greatest love song ever. I would say it is also should be inducted into the doo wop hall of fame as the signature song that represents doo wop.
