There comes a point where you start to realise where you have nearly watched every single panel show Richard Ayoade has been in, read both his books, watched everything he has acted in and watched both the films he has directed. This realisation is something that I am refusing to accept because he is honestly the best person I have come across and I need to be able to exist with my daily binge watches of anything to do with him in.

Nah, I was in the audience during the filming. He was literally just high. There were some jokes made about the smell in his dressing room that didn't make the edit. He also complained it was unfair they wouldn't let him bring his fried chicken out with me, but the others got their snacks & fruit. He was completely out of it - Jimmy had to confiscate the fidget spinners near the end because Narstie wasn't paying attention any more.

This is a very well composed panel, the quirkyness of Noel and Richard, David Mitchell's slightly more reasonable behaviour but still hilarious like when he asks why Jimmy hasn't got a seat, mixed with the ditsy personality of Roisin. And then big narstie. He's insane, so stupid and makes his partner look normal when she's normally ditsy and stupid. They all become generally more stupid and ludicrous thanks to big narstie really, and you see Jimmy get frustrated because he can't pull his usual jokes as the whole tone is far far lighter than what he's used to

@dylanmorgan27526 жыл бұрын
+Scorpi Opal he is funny on other mediums like the grime report, even when he’s not sober which is always. But tbh he’s more of a one man show and works best when he’s the centre of attention and is in his own environment, most of these panellists were too out of his sense of humour or whatever. Despite the fact 2 of them went to oxbridge, most of them have slightly posh accents, ones American etc. I don’t even think it was them being too posh or uppy so much, just that there is a major disconnect and covert prestige around the way narstie speaks and conveys his meaning to theirs and vice versa. Another point being I think he’s got more of a banter vibe that only works with others from his mindset. The others have a banter deffo, but it’s more of a flexible one because they’re all professional comedians.

Lol, that's the point of him being on. they always have one person on who's not a comedian. they're usually either an actor or a musician. check the previous years, they always do that... the reason is that they create a foil for the comedians to work against when the show lulls. it makes them seem smarter and funnier when in comparison to someone like Big Narstie (dunno if I spelt that right, sorry). there were 6 comedians on the show (5 contestants and a host), and you'll find, if you watch the clip again, you'll see how almost every single one of them play off of the "other" contestant, each in their own comedy style, to create humorous comments, situations and banter. the "other" contestant actually has one of the most important jobs on the panel, don't let the show get dull, boring, or normal, and Big Narstie does that here.
