Or maybe neither of them said it first & it was someone else backstage... & Jimmy & Dave stole it from them? Or maybe they have both just had the same funny thought & nobody stole it. I doubt there's many things in the world that just one person has thought about. Happens all the time, I see a story online, have a quirky thought about it. Then when you go to write that quirky thought, you see someone else has beaten you to it. His new special was fascinating. I didn't love it from a comedy perspective, but I found it a really interesting study of Jimmy as a man. All I could think while watching it was I really enjoyed how feminist he came across in it. That was awesome. It still upsets me when I think about that slap. Chris should never have had to endure such humiliation. It's disgusting what Will did, for no reason. I still feel Chris should've sued him. However, I also understand that people make mistakes, but it proves Will's not the person he's been portrayed as for thirty years. He's hidden his psycho well. He had plenty of time to stop and reconsider his actions before he got to Chris. He also did it on such a big stage, which means it will follow him everywhere, indefinitely.

For some reason I always felt that Will Smith was deep down an angry person. At the time I couldn’t put my finger on it. Awhile back I brought his book and how he spoke about his father being a very hard bastard almost confirmed it for me but again didn’t connect the dots. Then the slap happened and I was not at all surprised, I was kind of expecting him to show his true colours one day. It doesn’t help that his wife doesn’t respect him but hey who am I to say who is wrong or not, we all cut from the same cloth and can be just as bad or worse

Jimmy’s new special was ok , not his best work. Also im not sure on his new style either but i guess he’s still growing. And one thing that is now starting to piss me off with Jimmy and Ricky (who are both my favourites) is constant references or poking of cancel culture….. and i don’t believe for a second that either fear it so it just seems like a engineered topic to get themselves the “edgy” badge. Both have just produced their weakest Netflix specials in my opinion but i believe that is more a reflection of social times and both will evolve or just move through these boring vanilla times.

This is what happened from the Will Smith debacle. There are people that feel so low that they look for a way to become notorious in a sense. So when Will Smith slaps a comedian and it gets to the top page of what they perceive as valuable, they go and try to do it. It is not 100% crazy but it is predictable in that sense. If you got it to where everyone was talking about a teddy bear in a seat at a comedy show, there would be about 5-10 people doing the thing around the country. You could literally get these people to do anything except for them to get help. Cause that costs 10k and it has to come out of their pocket.

Bill Burr definitely ain’t boring. The best stand-up around at the moment, and a father of two young kids.

While it's true that you can make an offensive joke and "not mean it", we shouldn't ignore the fact that you can make a joke with malicious intent. A joke can be a very convenient way to disguise hate speech. It's disingenuous to suggest that a joke is only ever a joke and nothing more.

There is something almost hypnotic about the unlikability of that man. The self importance and pretentiousness is staggering. Netflix not airing an hour of his stupid face telling cringy jokes is basically the same as MLK being shot dead fighting for civil rights. Smugness overdose.
