My mom was on a flight in the early 2000’s that President Carter was on. He flew commercial very unpretentiously, and was very happy to shake hands and greet any other passengers. Such an honorable man. I stopped by the White House Christmas shop in D.C. this past October, and being originally from Michigan, picked up the ornament for President Ford. Very nice tradition, as well as beautiful ornaments.

It was Jimmy Carter, Democrat, Georgia, who pushed the Shah of Iran out of power. We all know what happened: The U.S. Embassy takeover, the bungled rescue attempt, the rise of the Ayatollah Khomeini and radical Islam. It was Ronald Reagon, Republican, California, who secured the unconditional release of the hostages. Tell me more about how great Carter was.

What a load of BS. He allowed the Ayatollah to take over Iran, which set a chain reaction to being fanatical Islam to the Middle East. The people loved him….ouff….. In the 1980 U.S. presidential election between Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter, Reagan won by a significant margin in the electoral college. Reagan, the Republican candidate, received 489 electoral votes, while Carter, the Democratic incumbent, received 49 electoral votes. We are driving electric vehicles charged on solar panels. June 20, 1979 Solar panels, some 32 of them, were put on the roof of the White House. Pres. Carter said then, “A generation from now, this solar heater can either be a curiosity, a museum piece, an example of a road not taken, or it can be a small part of one of the greatest and most exciting adventures ever undertaken by the American people.”
