At least Carter managed to attain majority support at certain points during his tenure - something a future 1-termer NEVER had!

I don't know about that. He wasn't that great at negotiating with his own party to get shit done. He is a good person but not a great leader.

Lyrics: There's a dream of a country wide and bountiful. There's a song of the city on the hill. There's a feeling of a nation proud and beautiful, The reflection of its own good people's will. If you see the dream America, If you hear the song America, If you feel this blessing liberty 200,000,000 strong. If you see the dream America, If you hear the song America, Then here is where your heart and mind belong. There's a dream of the poor no longer hungry, There's a song of the old no long alone, There's a brotherhood of children proud and wondering, As their spirit full of freedom marches on If you see the dream America If you hear the song America If you feel this blessing liberty 200,000,000 strong. If you see the dream America, If you hear the song America, Then here is where your heart and mind belong.

In Jimmy Carters defense the Iran situation really began with Eisenhower, Nixon administrations. a bomb was started in 1953 with the CIA Coup that put the shah in power. In 1969 Nixon basically opened the gate to massive weapons sales as part of his Nixon doctrine. Nixon and the Shah really had a very close and uncomfortable relationship. Nixon allowed the shah to get away with things that democrats did not permit. Shah basically thought Ford was an old donkey. Kissinger hmm. Well he played a role as well. I do not believe Carter had all the answers to the true nature of Iran and USA relationship. Those secrets were denied to him by Nixon Ford Kissinger and Rockerfeller.

His presidency was largely overshadowed by his brutal honesty and governed America through one of its worst economic times people forget he did the leg work during the Iran hostage crisis aswell. His faults where ultimately where not being effective enough in dealing with his own party. All the things that were promised in this advert namely total honesty and deceny he bought that and ultimately that’s what his legacy will be. It’s a shame he didn’t get a second term from an outsider looking in on US politics the economic and internal situation where begging to turn enough that he would be able to make up the bulk of his agenda.

Most of those problems started before Carter took office. The President has no control over the Federal Reserve although he put Paul Volker into office. In order to understand the Iran situation read the Oil Kings or Nixons Man. The Shah was keep in power by the eastern establishment for strategic reasons. The Shah turned on the USA in the mid-1970s. This makes me think our understanding of the Iran revolution is incomplete

The President needs the help of the Lord Jesus Christ! The Holy Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, can change a lost soul into a believer in the one true God! Billy Graham was an old school Democrat. Andy Griffith was an old school Democrat. They knew that the Lord Jesus Christ is the real reason for America's exceptionalism and greatness. Psalm 33:12 says: "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance." Proverbs 13:34 says: "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people."
