Saw Jimmy and his group in Portland Oregon back in the 90's. I made friends with his guitar player at the time, Richie Barr. We had all the members over for dinner. It was truly wonderful. Sweet bunch of guys. 🥰 Jimmy's music is so timeless and sprit filled. ❤️🙏 And... damn... he's still got it !

Jimmy Cliff is always one of my favorite artists from I was just a kid. His songs and music has impacted and inspired me seriously. I was so happy when he (Jimmy Cliff got the first IRIE FM LIVING LEGEND LIFETIME AWARD back in 2017. Jimmy Cliff just keeps pressing on.

Good to see Jimmy Cliff listening to the music back in the seventies .The music remain soulful as ever , his unique voice will for a very longtime be remembered.Hes getting older now those vibes keeps him going...Many rivers to cross. I can see the rainbow now etc.

I was lucky to enjoy the great Jimmy Cliff concert in Kinshasa, Congo ( Zaïre, back then) end 1980s; I was in my early 20s.. It was incredible! A down-to- earth singer, writer, composer,, actor, humanitarian, and a complete gentleman. GOD BLESS YOU = MUNGU AKUBARIKI [Swahili] = NZAMBE APAMBOLA YO [Lingala] = IMANA IBARINDE [Kinyarwanda]. JAH RAS TAFARI!!!

Jimmy Cliff um artista completo, concordo com um colega que Marley se inspirou em Cliff agora uma coisa é certa Cliff acompanhou o estilo do reggae criado por Bob Marley por o estilo antes reggae o ska estava sendo influenciado pelo Rock neste sentido Marley deu a identidade do DNA do reggae que curtimos até hoje...parabéns todos que tem a origem do reggae tocado na abertura desse show, a verdadeira música tocada nas tribos rastafári da Jamaica...sinônimo da música dos nossos ancestrais África.
