Jimmy Gnecco is the lead singer of Ours. One of the most under the radar and under appreciated rock groups of our time. In my opinion he is the best male rock vocalist EVER! The only other male rocker to have as much vocal range as Jimmy is Freddie Mercury of Queen.

Ive been a really big fan of OURS and Jimmy Gnecco since I was ten years old. That same year, their debut album "Distorted Lullabies" came out. I remember watching the MTV2 channel for hours at a time so that I could see the video for "Sometimes" over and over again (They always played Pete Yorn, The Verve, and all the other "Handpicked" songs CONSTANTLY. Meanwhile, they played "Sometimes" so infrequently that it started to feel as though it was intentional. Anyway, I only started getting into LDR very recently, so you can imagine my surprise when I came across this little diddy. I'd never even met anyone outside of Jersey who knew who OURS were (though I imagine that has changed as of late, thanks to this song! She's also apparently from NYC, and the band used yo do plenty of 21+ shows in the city in the 2000's , back when I was too young to go 😔)

Ok I think the song is called Jimmy Gnecco bc Jimmy looks a lot like a guy named Jim that Lana mentions in songs. In the Blue Jeans mv the actor she uses to play the dude looks like Jimmy Gnecco and she said she used that actor a lot because he looks like the man she was writing about, who I think is the Jim she mentions in other songs.

Those songs aren't about anyone named Jim, they're about her ex Josh Kemp they actually still follow each other on Instagram even at least last time I checked. Josh Kemp also has a lot of tattoos and he posted a snippet on his Instagram once of Lana singing Video Games and writing how his gaming inspired her to write it. There's also pictures of them together as a couple if you google it. He is the one that Video Games, Blue Jeans and Born To Die is about and probably other early songs too. When she mentions the name Jim in songs it's usually in reference to her alcohol addiction (Jim Beam). It's pretty random to mention Jimmy Gnecco, a not very well known singer, because he looks like her ex though (which he really doesn't imo). Maybe she had a fling once with the actual Jimmy Gnecco, especially since he has a song from 2013 called "Fall into My Hands" which is rumored to be about Lana.
