“Our Little Town” was originally recorded by the Heath Brothers for the 1981 Columbia recording “God Rest Ye Merry, Jazzmen.” Both tenor saxophonist Jimmy Heath (2010) and bassist Percy Heath (2001) were interviewed for the Smithsonian's Jazz Oral History Program.
