I could be wrong, but I think he was the catalyst, the paradigm shift in creating her brand/iconic sound. He created a lot of the songs you want to sing along with; Janet’s voice was the instrument that brought them to life and made them timeless.

I have heard other artists try to sing her songs especially during tributes to her and they just don't land for me. Songs like Any time Any Place, I Get So Lonely, Let's Wait Awhile, Escapade..etc are crafted for her. I remember back in the day Scotti Bros used to do sound for many of the arenas but I checked out your current system and those subs Mannnnn I've never heard a system so clean and bottom heavy without any noise. Oh my God Jimmy is right. I remember when I used to buy janets albums and I had this ritual. I would do where I wanted to hear all of the instruments meaning the background and the foreground and I wanted to hear the ads clearly so I would put the headphones jack in the jack halfway not all the way, so it would have a sound to where I could hear everything the background, the little instruments, the little dings and bongs. so I understand exactly what he’s talking about is the little things the instruments that you don’t hear but that’s crazy that he said that because I used to do that I used to put the headphones jack halfway in so I can listen to all of the sounds all of the instruments, even Janet’s , beautiful harmonizing for voice. And one thing you will know if you are a Janet fan she loves to harmonize.. and honestly that’s what makes her a true artist.
