For someone who has never heard him speak nor heard his music but has seen the constant barrage of snippets of him, this conversation is an eye opener. He is obviously brilliant and thinks in a complex deeply examining way to find his way of expression. In our times navigating the social expectations and norms while trying to be true to himself must be quite a challenge. He is what many call very eccentric because they can't find the proper word. He comes off a genuinely thoughtful man struggling with good intentions to be a decent human being. That's my take. I'm glad I watched.

So the question becomes why would anybody do that to a man like this? Why do people "the media" ,if that's what they are, that have so much power to create a narrative about someone and have reasonable people fooled into thinking something that is "blatantly" a lie? Fear? Greed? Happens over and over!!!!! We let them!!!!! Why??? Fear? Comfortable? IDk! I'm starting to think that reality is a cosmic test and I often ask myself if I am passing or failing? HOW BOUT THE REST OF YOU? IT"S NOT ABOUT JUST ME IT"S ABOUT ALL OF US!!!!

@ShahzebAliissecretlyL 5 жыл бұрын
John Roman right?? Jimmy is an example of 2D thinking - not in a bad way but he's not thinking of what the kid jumping on the cofeee table represents.. It's not about a literal kid on a coffee table it's about the creativity and imagination you have as a person to believe that you can do and be anything. And as you grow older, people tell you what you can and can't do whether it's directly or indirectly, it limits that creativity and holds you back from your potential

John Hurley I don’t think the problem is with the school systems. I feel like it’s also the kids fault. Because schools will try and teach kids things, but these kids don’t want to learn. They don’t want to take the time to sit down and study, to take the time to really prepare themselves. Kids now a days complain, saying math isn’t involved in real jobs when it really is. The only jobs math doesn’t come into play is minimum wage fast food jobs. Students need to try and meet the education system half way and try to learn outside of school. Instead most kids want to go home and do drugs or anything that doesn’t involve knowledge.

Hes so real. He doesnt seem like hes following a script or following someone elses idea of what he should be saying or how he should be speaking. I have a lot of respect for people who arent afraid to present themselves as themselves. He has a deeper way of thinking and feeling that we can all take notes from. Comparing how he communicates with how other "celebrities" communicate in interviews, you can see hes clearly different, and in a good way. I would love to sit down and have a conversation with this being.

The problem is that he's not setting up the context effectively to preface what he's trying to say and Kimmel inevitably ends up making false equivalencies which Kanye can't come back from because he's already trying to straddle the dissonance of where he's coming from and the paradigm Jimmy lives within.

Funny, the conservatives did the same with obamas accidental "57 states" quote. It's a tactic dishonest people use (nowadays in my experience more the left than the right) to try to discount your ideaswithout actually adressing them.

Kanye is a Genius, very articulate and speaks of 5D concepts, love and harmony and simultaneously struggles with his ego probably due to public recognition and achievement. His Grandiose often shows in many of his songs. Beliefs about himself behaviours etc. I feel like he embodies strongly both the light AND the dark energies very strongly which is unusual and probably why he is so polarising. I suppose what I just said explains why people would view him as bipolar.

I think what he was trying to say with the simulation thing is, while growing up society crushes your spirit bit by bit until you conform. That's why when you're a positive person, people don't like it because you're different and they want you to be as unhappy as them. As a kid they always tell you to be quiet and it's the convention to not talk back to your parents or teachers. In other words people of authority over you at that age. That's how you create hopeless disillusioned introverted adults that walk the line like drones. And won't hold the establishment accountable.

As a black person I get what Kanye is saying about Monolithic thought in our community. If I, as a black person, disagree with a certain concept that is widely accepted among other black people, then the authenticity of my blackness is questioned and even diminished.. It can be hurtful if you are not a strong person. Everyone should be encouraged to think freely regardless of their particular skin color.

With due respect to your community , minorities have always been conservative and tried hard to share collective thought because they think if they don't stick together, they might be suppressed. That has been the mentality for centuries but I agree with you and I'm not sure if that's needed in 21st century.

Political views I may not agree with Kanye, but his reasoning on living and not being afraid to be yourself as an individual, and not be afraid to go against the social norms (or as he said it a "simulation") is something I truly appreciate about Kanye as a person and an artist
