How did Jimmy ever lose? What a player
@sladjanivkovic24 жыл бұрын
Because he plays super fast without even thinking many times, he is so casual, that's why he never won world championship, terrible focus, and extremly talented. A lot of shots he played he played like they were exibition shots.
@alanmctavish4802 Жыл бұрын
@richardfisher becouse he didnt have the heart to see it through. Like alex higgins was a better player than jimmy at his peak. Alex also had awe some safety play. He had tremendous judge of weight on the cue ball to leave the cue ball where he wanted it. All the greatest ever sportsmen have everything to there game. Like in his peak if there was a pot to be played and your life depended on it then alex higgins would be that player to do it. He had the skill to be the greatest player ever, but he just didnt play the safety game that much. And it cost him alot. Alex didnt really lose a match he just threw it away. Becouse he played for the people not himself. A can remember him being snookerd then playing off 3 cushions with side to hit the ball then leave a snooker back, and i am thinking how the hell did he do that. And he did that loads of times. Steve davis said "alex was the best safety player i have ever seen, you didnt want to get into a safety battle with alex becouse he was so good, and he would do shots that no one had ever saw before, and i am thinking how did he think of that let alone being able to do it. If i snookerd him he would just play a shot in 4 seconds and snooker me back then he would be snookering me, then i would miss then he would clear up. He lost more close ones than he won i think, becouse we would leave him tempters just so he would go for it and maybe miss, becouse playing safe he just ran over you if he was on form so you think i have to do this and leave him one he cant refuse wich sounds daft but it gets like that at times"

this is one of the most awkward things I've ever seen. Nobody seems very happy with the affair, but for the insane clappers. Not to mention the fact that a game called 'ten ball' already exists (and I suppose did so before this nonsense). Clearly the case of ill-informed tv producers doing what they do best, ie, inventing something stupid, useless and pretentious that's going to disappear before next summer. BTW: love the eye roll of boredom from the ref right after announcing the third frame (around minute 22, as kindly indicated by PomBare). History has rightfully buried this senseless waste of time.

They should applaud when the white ball comes to rest and if the player has made a good positional shot. Potting a red can be easy but getting position for the next ball requires more skill.

It's not an American pool table, just look at the middle pockets they are curved so u can slow roll a ball in from an acute angle,in pool the middle pockets are "jawed" like the corner pockets this is a snooker table but with bigger pockets

There's something seriously wrong with that table. Don't know if its the cloth or the slate but they can't seem to grip the balls at all to impart side and the cueball keeps sliding off the cue resulting in huge misses. Horrible clunky slow table that wouldn't be fit for a run down social club, let alone a TV studio.
@AD-kv9kj6 жыл бұрын
Yea the cloth looks horrible. Like cheap pool table stuff. Pause at 16:02 - you can see it's all bubbled and fluffy.
@PomBare6 жыл бұрын
Oh yeh, sorry I didn't read it properly. You're absolutely right. Ridiculous roll off! In fact now you mention it I'm seeing it roll to the left on every shot. Watch at 20:40. It even hits the cushion a foot away from the pocket but still clings to the cushion such is the lean.
@domainadmin99056 жыл бұрын
Look at 9:54 when he hits the ball it's going to the heart of the pocket and then rolls to the right side of the pocket

why would Alex be asking the ref or his partner at 18.14 should I pot it didn't he know the rules and the same with Jimmy where the ref tells him the rules
@PomBare6 жыл бұрын
Jimmy is warned in frame 2 that if he fouls a third time he concedes the frame. Yet he DOES foul a third time at 20:00 and nothing happens.
@philippalmer10126 жыл бұрын
Three consecutive fouls and he would have lost the frame, his next shot was a valid shot so the foul shot count resets, a player doesn't lose the frame for making three fouls in total in a frame.
