In this world where hardly anything is affordable, budget friendly fast food franchises are extremely popular among Koreans of all ages. According to a survey done in 2019, there are top four franchises that dominate the market; McDonald's, Burger King, Lotteria, and Mom's Touch. In this video, I will visit each one of them and try to find out what is so attractive about them, and rank them based on my experience!

Can you do a series where you explore a different suburb each time, and cover off 3 meals and must-do activities under certain budget within a day? Would be useful for tourist/travellers going to Seoul for the first time.

We randomly stopped by a franchise named "No Brand Burger" in Seoul. The weird name drew us in -and it turned out to be pretty good! Better value vs Burger King, that's for sure

Unfortunately I didn't get to try No Brand Burger yet (it is only a few years old) but I made good experiences with all the No Brand products! I had a No Brand store near where I lived and it was way cheaper to go there and the products were pretty good - it has everything from toilet paper to seaweed and chips.

"Highly rated by the public doesn't mean jack shit" -this is so true on so many levels when it comes to food reviews in Korea I'd love to see a "Best Burger in Itaewon" video. There's a lot of options, especially if you throw in a lot of the foreign pubs.

Had the Hanwoo burger at Lotteria in Seoul Station last year when we visited. It was surprisingly good, and very filling. I'd have it again next time we go.

I have fond memories of Mom's touch, strange name but it is more of an upmarket fried chicken place. I enjoyed the different local variations of burgers in Korea, some good local and seasonal offerings. I got an infected intestine after having a zinger burger in Seoul, never touched KFC again (then again Korea has some really amazing local fried chicken places).

When I was living in Korea, my go to fast food was Moms Touch!! They had the best chicken burgers!!! Even now back home I’m still missing Moms touch!!! 😊

Mom’s Touch opened two locations in Southern California. I’ve had it twice and really liked it! I would eat it more often if it wasnt located so far from me

Awesome food reviews as always Jimmy! I thought Mom's Touch and Isaac's Toast were much better than all the other fast food chains... They were totally new to me vs what we have in the US, as far as chicken burgers/sandwiches (we call them here in the US) I prefer the Popeye's chicken sandwich. Also, they should try importing Nacho cheese and/or chili to their fries in Korea (total game changer)! Lotteria was ok truthfully (Like MOS Burger in Japan), I wasn't a fan of half beef & pork patties (reminds me of Salisbury steak), It doesn't taste like a real 100% beef burger (1/4 lbs Angus and Wagyu + American Cheese slice = next level, OMG!)... you know what I mean! lol. I did think the Shrimp burger was unique, but prefer the Fillet-O-Fish to it. I wonder if they have smash burgers in Korea, hopefully you can find some to review and enjoy them! Or authentic Mexican food (like in Baek Jong-Won Food Alley), some good tacos & burritos!
