Zhalyn/ Flame, a dynamic song in the Kazakh language, was written by Kazakh composer Yedilzhan Gabbasov (co-author Dimash Qudaibergen). Yedilzhan wanted to create something Kazakh with a modern sound: “As a kid I listened to a lot of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and other quality music. This is often my main source of inspiration...“ ...you can hear it. The Poet Nurzhan Askhatuly shared what he wanted to express in the lyrics: “To change for someone else is tantamount to losing yourself. If you have changed yourself, you are no longer you. You turn away from your nature and become a completely different person. That’s why I think we should try to understand and accept anyone, no matter how different they are from us. That’s the main point of the song.” The music video was filmed by Kazakh director Shyngyskhan Tazhikeev in the MOOD VIDEO genre. I have many Dimash songs that I consider favorites and I can't decide which one is better. However, I can say with certainty this one song is my absolute favorite song. Love Of Tired Swans. It wasn't until I started listening to Dimash that I realized how incredibly beautiful songs are in Russian. Unfortunately it is also a very difficult language, at least for me. Love Of Tired Swans is also a song written by Igor Krutoy, although Lara Fabian sang it for the first time. Please react either to the MV, it’s gorgeous or to the live performance New Wave from 2019, but you really have to watch this til the end (or better both😄). There he sings with the Dears.. 👉As you have already noticed, the movements are very similar to Michael Jackson's. Dimash grew up with his music, Jackson is his idol and of course he made his moves his own. Dimash is inspired by Jackson but I don't think Dimash pays homage to Michael Jackson in every pop song where he does his own but similar dance moves. It's just his style. My opinion: Dimash has long since overtaken Michael Jackson as King of Pop and is the king of singing in general.
