I have bought a jimny too recently when Maruti Suzuki offered discounts in December. My variant is Alpha MT kinetic yellow. I've driven it around 1.6k kms and this is what I feel about this car:- Pros: 1. Very capable off roader. Earlier I was driving 4x2 where sometimes I had to struggle during off roading but off roading in jimny feels way way easier. 2. Compact car. Maneuvering on narrow roads not an issue. 3. Suspension is really good. 4. Body roll over is almost non- existent. 5. Less road presence makes your car look different and with some modifications, people will keep checking out your car. 6. Boot space is adequate. U can put sufficient luggage if u want to go on a trip. 7. Best 4x4 at this price. Cons: 1. Rear seat belt alarm is annoying. 2. Gearbox is stiff initially and may take time to adjust. 3. Stock tyres and the front grill give a bad look to this car imo. Stock tyres are really thin. From the front, car looks like a toy due to this very reason. Upgrade if possible. Side profile of this car looks sexy though. 4. This car feels underpowered. No matter what others say, this car won't compete with many on the highways. This might be a factor to many who like to drive fast. There's a lag in acceleration. 5. Turning radius is a bit more. 6. Cabin space inside is not enough for big bulky guys. If you're bit overweight, your arms will be touching the car door and also to the person sitting alongside you in the front. For skinny guys it's not an issue. Car is tall enough so there's enough space for your head also. 7. Under thigh support is not adequate in the rear seats. 8. Doesn't have proper storage space for basic stuff like bottles, phones etc. It's really bothering.

You covered most of the points. I would add one con: The AT gearbox whines when accelerating, you get used to it but it's there. Not sure if it's only in my car, will get it checked

Many people focus on modifying their Jimny for better performance or aesthetics, but for me, safety is the top priority. The Jimny lacks essential safety features, and while modifications can enhance the vehicle, they should not compromise safety. When your life is at risk, no modification is worth it. Safety should always come first, because once you're gone, nothing else matters.

I was disappointed at first when i first got the car, the gear shift was too damn hard but now after having driven for 2k+ kms, the gear shift is much more smoother

Your jimny looks really classy, Sir Jee! The shiny black car and the matte gold rims combination looks very cool. The vehicle suits your personality perfectly! And your review was neat and simple like the other viewers have already mentioned. If you can, i would recommend a silly modification which might be perfect for your car's current look : ) ...have you heard of the Knight Rider car? Please check it out on youtube. It is a TV series of the 1990s in which a car called Kitt could drive by itself... The front grill had a "strip of red lights", the red light moved from left to right : ) Looked so sexy! Maybe aapko passand aayega. haha! Cheers, Sir!
