Big deltas fly so well. I don't have all of them now, but I will show some of the ones that I still have in a video soon.

Deltas are very simple kites, but hard to beat in terms of value for money and ease of flying.

The Clown Delta is a good example of just how versatile the delta can be - it's the basis for lots of interesting kites, Dewey.

Yes, a great development in kites, and now there is such a variety of them that anyone can find something to suit. All the delta variants (like the flowtails) add even more to the selection.

Yours will never wear out, Carl, as they don't see enough time in the air! Mine don't fly often, either, because there are too many others keen to fly. The Clown is a great light-wind specialist, as you'll remember from a couple of times in Timaru.

There are certainly some bargains to be had, and yours sounds great. I'm sure you have a lot of fun with it. Some people turn up their noses at straight-from-China kites, but they're missing out on some good items for not much money.

@@JimNicholls yes. They are pretty good quality. No complaints from me. My first real kite and I didn't want to spend alot of money. I've been eyeing the 7ft USA Levitation Delta from Into the wind. But I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I first bought one of those many years ago - a nice kite, but it's done very little flying since I found that bigger deltas were better.

That might be true, Thomas. I can't remember what happened to that tail, as I used to keep it always with the kite.

Priscilla, you should know that you largely get what you pay for when you buy a kite. So yes, cheap in price, but also cheap in quality. If they are treated well and not flown too often then they are perfectly OK, and in the air it's impossible to see that the quality is not good.

Check the sizes on those kites, as the cheaper ones are almost certainly smaller. it would be impossible to make that size of kite even reasonably well for much under $100. It's always a problem with Chinese sellers to know the actual origins of a product, and as you say, often different sellers are offering the same item which probably all originated in one factory. I'm glad you enjoy the videos, and I hope you have a lot of fun with your kites in Canada.

They were all bought from various stores on AliExpress, where there are hundreds of kites to choose from.

Hi Christian. The delta at the end measures about 16ft by 8ft (4.8m by 2.4m), but I have seen the same pattern sold in several different sizes, so you need to be sure what you are buying. The checker delta is bigger, with a 19ft wingspan, but I think I've also seen that in other sizes.

@@christians5694 Mine will fold down to a length of 4 feet (120cm). But the Chinese factories often change things, so I can't guarantee that will apply to every kite of this type. I can't remember where I bought this one, as I've had it a long time.
