JIN through Big Hit Music said “It's an honor to participate in such a meaningful moment. I am so sincerely grateful to our ARMYs who made it possible for me to carry the torch. I was so nervous that I didn't know how the time went by, but thanks to the support from many people at the venue who cheered loudly, I was able to finish with my best."
Also, "I hope that all the Korean national team members who participated in the Olympics will achieve good results as much as they have worked hard, and I will support them with my heart. And I hope that there will be a lot of interest in the '17th Paris Paralympics' to be held in August this year." Lastly, he added, "I will also work harder and show you a good side in the future."
