Jin is an amazing actor and I feel the reason why I can connect to his singing soo much is because he has the ability to make us not only hear his songs but also feel them. 💜

I read many posts that say he is the alien and his spaceship crashed. While he was waiting for it to get fixe/powered up, he met this family. The little girl is ARMY. She taught him what love is and what family is. When the he saw the light he had to go back to the ship. He gave the little girl the helmet to protect her. Helping her to learn how to ride the bike was him teaching us that we can do it now without his help. It also could be his dongsaeng (younger brothers). He helped them grow up and now they can do it without him as well. Then he gets to the ship to leave (the military) and then he comes back to us, his family. I just love gift to us and I love him so much and how utterly thoughtful he is towards us. Im going to miss him so much!

At the concert last night Chris told the audience that 6 months ago Jin called him up and told him he was going into military and want to gift ARMY a goodbye song. I love this MV so much as it captures everything what jin and what his daily life is about and shows us armys that whenever he leaves home it's the first thing he misses. Yes, it's a collab with Coldplay. They just performed it live together in Buenos Aires and the live version is on the BangtanTV channel as of today as well. It's so good to see the interaction and Jin sounds so good. Others have explained the story, but basically Jin is the alient, but found family in BTS and ARMY. This song is absolutely beautiful and I got emotional watching and listening to it. Not sure if this is correct, but I interpreted it as this: He's an astronaut from another planet and crash landed to Earth. He's been waiting for a chance to leave and in the meantime, made friends with the little girl and has been enjoying his time here. One day, he hears the news of a new ship and sees the beacon, jumps up and is ready to leave. By the time he gets to his ship, he realizes that he doesn't want to leave and that this is his home so he decides to stay and head back. There's so many references to Army in this and I believe that Earth and the little girl represents Army, his home. I think it's just a dedication to us and even though he's leaving for a short time, he'll be back because we (Army and BTS) are his home and family. That's why its so emotional and he gives that look in the end. It's not a goodbye, but an, "I'll see you soon."

I don’t think people quite understood the meaning of this video. Jin is going to spend approximately 2 years in the army with no contact to the outside world (besides family and friends in small periods of vacation from the military). The video is his way of explaining how things will go. When he is walking on the streets and nobody notices him or when he is on the roads and cars are passing by him it is because the outside world will keep going even without him, since he will be in the army. He helping the girl to ride her bike alone is him saying goodbye to his brothers from BTS and Army and saying”now you guys need to ride alone”. His tattoo on the neck and the black spots on his crossword puzzle are Army in braille. Chris Martin is in the video because Jin ask him for a song to show Army how much he loves us. They wrote it together. The name of the song was chosen as The astronaut because it’s as if he was in another planet during this period in the military. Everything has a meaning. In his room on the beginning of the mv there are objects representing everyone of his brothers from BTS showing that this is his world now, before leaving to the military. and then when we finally gets back home and finishes his crossword puzzle, is his way of saying that things won’t change when he comes back from the military!
